The study of the dam and appurtenance works at the junction of mine pit ČSA and the Bílina river

The Bachelor thesis deals with the design of earth dike and appurtenant works on opencast mine ČS Army in Most. Mining in this mine is to be terminated in the near future and this study can serve as a basis in the decision-making process on the possible reclamation of the mine. The result is the design of three homogeneous earth dikes made of local materials and appurtenant works consists of emergency spillway, bottom outlet and small hydropower plant. In the conclusion, the steps for the next phases of this project are recommended.

Proposal of small earth dam

The subjekt of this bachelor thesis is the study of a small water reservoir in a particular locality. It consists of a text part and a drawing part. The text part contains brief summary of the issues of small water reservoirs, description of the locality, determination of design flow, needed hydrotecchnical calculations and design of expected technical solution. The drawings show the design of the dam, the combinated funtional object and the modified flooded area.

Safety Assesment of the Rouchovany Dam during Floods

The main goal of the bachelor’s thesis is the safety assessment of the Rouchovany Dam during floods in accordance with ČSN 75 2935. The thesis contains information about hydraulic structure itself and of its segments, hydraulic calculations, set up permissible water level and control maximal water level. The result of the thesis is the evaluation of current condition of body of hydraulic structure and proposing corrective measures.
